History In 1982, at the age of 23, Allen Holloway, Sr. started Bama Painting and Wallcovering. Allen had begun his career in painting as a teenager in a three-generation family business. He worked with his two brothers, who taught Allen at an early age to provide a quality product to his customers. Allen’s personal initiative and high standards played an integral part of him learning the skills of a professional painter as a teenager. With the desire to build a strong professional reputation, it was just a matter of time before Allen started his own company.

Over 25 years ago, when Allen started Bama Painting and Wallcovering, he was strictly a residential contractor. He spent over 10 years in the residential arena, when an opportunity arose to begin some commercial contracts. His first projects in the commercial industry were in retail construction. As the commercial painting doors opened from 1998 to 2000, Allen made the shift from residential work into the commercial industry. At that time, Bama Painting built their 14,000 square foot facility in Trussville, Alabama.

Bama’s mission is to be a leader in making the painting industry a well-respected field. We pride ourselves in our own in-house system that allows total job tracking. It also introduces our phasing system that provides for our customers with years of analyzed experience at their fingertips. This system which Bama developed results in quality work finished on time. Our system is helping us earn the reputation as one of the top painting contractors in Alabama. Bama Painting and Wallcovering has completed commercial projects in other states, including Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee Kentucky, North and South Carolina and Virginia.
